City Facilities Management adding 90 office jobs in Jacksonville

City Facilities Management, a Scotland-based company that established its U.S. headquarters in Jacksonville in 2016, is adding at least 90 office positions in Southside and 220 field jobs in the Northeast U.S. because of an additional contract.
The company opened in Jacksonville three years ago to provide refrigeration and other facilities maintenance for Southeastern Grocers' stores in the Southeast.
Padgett Premier Property buys Deerwood Center building for $2.86 million

Leaders of Jacksonville-based Summit Contracting Group Inc. bought a suburban Deerwood Center office building Thursday as they prepare for growth.
At the same time, they listed their current Summit Tower headquarters at 1000 Riverside Ave. for sale at $16 million as they searched for the Southside site.
Culver's sets opening date and job fair for Middleburg restaurant, selects sites for two more locations

Wisconsin-based Culver's will open its first area restaurant July 15 in Middleburg in Clay County, has a second in review in Collins Town Center in Duval and a third submitted for St. Johns.
Franchisee Don Lichte in Wisconsin intends to hold the ribbon-cutting at 9 a.m. July 15 at the almost 4,600-square-foot Middleburg at 1767 Blanding Blvd. The restaurant will operate 10 a.m.-10 p.m., with seating for 105 inside and 30 on the patio.

New details on Project Liberty, the IT company seeking incentives to bring jobs to city

More details emerged Tuesday about Project Liberty as the City Council Finance Committee approved an incentives package for it to create 198 jobs.
The council auditor reported that the unidentified existing international IT company would retain 458 existing jobs and the additions would boost its workforce to 656.
