Florida Blue parking garage includes 869 spaces, urban park area

Plans for Florida Blue’s proposed $22.5 million Brooklyn parking garage at Magnolia, Forest and Park streets features a parklike setting with spaces for artwork.

The Jacksonville-based insurer filed conceptual designs for the garage with the Downtown Development Review Board, which will consider initial approval at its Oct. 10 meeting.

Plans for East San Marco include Publix, and a first for Jacksonville

Publix is taking its proposed East San Marco supermarket to another level.

In a first for Jacksonville, the grocery store is designed on the second floor of a two-story building with parking on the ground level.

Eric Davidson, Regency Centers Corp. senior manager of communications, said the store will be easily accessible.

Global Outreach buys two Arlington church properties for charter schools

Two Arlington church properties are slated for a $16.5 million conversion for grades 3-8 and a high school for Global Outreach Charter Academy Inc.

The deal also indicates that the former Belk store at nearby Regency Square Mall might be put to use by its new owner.
