Chalmers Property Co. plans 1.67 million square feet of industrial space at Imeson Port Center

Virginia-based Chalmers Property Co. intends to invest a projected $200 million in Jacksonville to develop up to a 1.67 million-square-foot business park called Imeson Port Center in North Jacksonville.
“We are coming into your market,” said Fraser Chalmers, executive vice president. “We have had an excellent experience so far with our local team.”
City may sell Cecil megasite land to Cosentino Group for what may become a $440 million manufacturing facility

The city may sell 330 acres of the Cecil Commerce Center megasite in West Jacksonville for about $20.52 million to the Spanish sustainable surfaces company Cosentino Group for what could grow to a $440 million manufacturing facility.
The initial phase of the project comprises an estimated investment of $270 million. A second phase would be a capital investment of $70 million.
City committee recommends increase to J.B. Coxwell’s fairgrounds design-build contract

A city committee has recommended a $760,210 increase to J.B Coxwell Contracting Inc’s contract to continue designs for the future Jacksonville Fairgrounds in West Jacksonville.
The Competitive Sealed Proposal Evaluation Committee voted 3-0 on March 30 to recommend increasing the cap on J.B. Coxwell’s design-build contract on the fairgrounds project from $5.087 million to $5.847 million.
Le Petit Paris cafe expanding to third location in Northeast Florida

Four years after opening the first Le Petit Paris in Mandarin, owner Alex Chezaud plans to open his third location this spring.
The new restaurant will be at 7111 Bentley Road (formerly Bonneval Road) at Philips Highway and Butler Boulevard, near the Southpoint area.
The spot was formerly Fresh-Mex & Co., whose owners opened at 10281 Midtown Parkway in St. Johns Town Center.
Merritt Properties buys 16 acres in North Jacksonville

Merritt Properties announced March 30 that it closed on the purchase of 16 acres to build three more flexible-use light industrial buildings, totaling up to 114,500 square feet, at Imeson Landing Business Park in North Jacksonville.
Merritt said it bought the land March 29 for $1.2 million from Imeson Investments LLC.
