Kansas City-based developer plans 275-unit McCoys Landing apartment in LaVilla

A Kansas City, Missouri-based developer’s plan to build McCoys Landing, a seven-story, 275-unit multifamily project in Southwest LaVilla, is headed to the Downtown Development Review Board for preliminary design review.
Garrison Companies intends to demolish the existing building at the 2-acre site at 101 Myrtle Ave. S. near Interstate 95, according to the review board staff report released May 4.
Trails at Bartram Park apartments sold for $75.5 million

The Trails at Bartram Park apartments at 13525 Bartram Park Blvd. sold April 24 for $75.5 million.
Centennial Holding Company LLC of Atlanta sold the property through Centennial Bartram Park LLC.
The buyer was Cohen-Esery of Merriam, Kansas, through CEAI Bartram Park LLC.
Grand Ocean office and retail property to be built in Atlantic Beach

Grand Ocean, a three-story, 25,000-square-foot mixed-use office and retail building, is planned for the Beaches Town Center in Atlantic Beach.
The development is at 42 E. Coast Drive north of the Coop 303 restaurant.
It is scheduled to break ground June 1 and be completed in 14 to 16 months, according to a news release May 1 from Shahab Derazi, president of J&H Advisors Inc. of Jacksonville Beach.
DeSantis, Renner state support for Jacksonville UF graduate center

Gov. Ron DeSantis told news reporters during a May 2 event at JaxPort’s Cruise Terminal that he’s “favorably disposed” to the University of Florida’s proposal to build a health and financial technology graduate center in or near Downtown Jacksonville.
The Jacksonville City Council agreed in March to contribute $50 million over the next three years for the center estimated to cost $150 million to $200 million.
Karis Cold joins the cold storage warehouse expansion boom in Jacksonville

Karis Cold is pursuing plans to prepare more than 24 acres in Westlake Industrial Park to develop a warehouse, joining the movement by refrigeration and freezer companies into Northeast Florida.
The city and the St. Johns River Water Management District are reviewing plans for the Florida-based company to develop a cold storage warehouse on a wooded and undeveloped site along Pritchard Road in West Jacksonville.
The plans are for early clearing and mass grading of the site.
