JaxPort receives $35 million refund from harbor deepening project

The Jacksonville Port Authority received a $35 million refund in untouched funds from its 11-mile, $420 million harbor deepening project. 

Officials from the Army Corps. of Engineers presented a check to JaxPort during its March 27 board meeting.

Fuqua starts retail development at One Riverside

Fuqua Development is preparing to develop a retail building at the One Riverside apartment, shopping and park project along the Northbank Riverfront at 1 Riverside Ave.

The city is reviewing a permit application for an 8,000-square-foot shell Building 200 at a project cost of  $1.21 million.

The shell building would be leased to tenants, who would then prepare their spaces.

Plans indicate spaces for at least three tenants.

Plenti, featuring coastal cuisine, to open March 24

Plenti restaurant plans to open March 24 at 200 Riverside Ave. in the Vista Brooklyn building.

It features a coastal menu of poke, seafood, salads, acaifruit bowls, smoothies, juices, wine and beer.

The restaurant will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 

Parking is free in the Vista Brooklyn parking garage.

Plenti is next to The Greenhouse & Bar.

BJ’s confirmed for River City Marketplace

BJ’s confirmed for River City Marketplace

An application with the St. Johns River Water Management District confirms that BJ’s Wholesale Club will replace the Regal cinemas at River City Marketplace.

Property owner RPT Realty applied to the district to modify a permit to demolish the theater building and build the wholesale club.

“The project involves demolition of the existing movie theater at 12884 City Center Blvd. … and construction of a new BJ’s Wholesale Club retail outlet and gas station,” the application says.
