Plan would transform Morocco Shrine Center property

Property owner Morocco Temple Association Inc. wants to transform its Morocco Shrine Center property at 3800 St. Johns Bluff Road S. into a 36.76-acre community called The Village at Town Center.
Developers envision people of all ages, from students to seniors, living in the community with educational, retail and entertainment amenities that could include a food hall.
Arlington Toyota receives permits for $12 million dealership project

Arlington Toyota will transform its Jacksonville dealership property near the northeast corner of Atlantic Boulevard and St. Johns Bluff Road.
The city issued five permits Jan. 29 for Stellar Group Inc. to build a new dealership showroom and renovate existing structures at 10939 Atlantic Blvd. at a construction cost totaling almost $11.9 million.
Memorial Hospital planning surgical expansion

Memorial Hospital will expand its surgery services with a $25 million, 10,000-square-foot addition to its main campus on University Boulevard.
The building will add five operating rooms, two of which will be for cardiovascular procedures. There will be five surgery recovery areas in the building. There also will be space for a new locker room and lounge for surgeons and staff.
Baptist Health to build $200 million hospital in Clay County, create 700 jobs

Baptist Health announced plans Jan. 23 to build a $200 million, 300,000-square-foot hospital at its Baptist Clay Medical Campus in Fleming Island.
Groundbreaking for the 100-bed hospital will be in spring 2020, with an anticipated opening date in early 2022.
Tech entrepreneur plans Nocatee incubator

In an effort to cut down on his commutes, Wired2Perform CEO and founder Raghu Misra wants to relocate his business to the Nocatee Town Center.
In addition to the trips he takes to Jacksonville for work, Misra said his child’s extracurricular activities are there as well.
