The Mathis Report: Tamaya Market permits in review

Tamaya Market is taking shape near Beach and Kernan boulevards to feature the city’s second Sprouts Farmers Market grocery store.
The city is reviewing permit applications for the Sprouts market, two adjoining sets of retail shops and a retaining wall.
Harbour Retail Partners of Wrightsville, North Carolina, is developing the shopping center on 11.22 acres at 12675 Beach Blvd., at northwest Beach and Tamaya boulevards.
Sur La Table, Warby Parker appear headed to St. Johns Town Center

Housewares store Sur La Table and fashion eyeglass retailer Warby Parker appear to be prospective tenants at St. Johns Town Center in the closed Williams-Sonoma space.
Williams-Sonoma closed recently and its roughly 6,500-square-foot space at 4712 River City Drive, No. 109, is being prepared for two tenants.
Sur La Table, a housewares company based in Seattle, will take 5,049 square feet at that address, according to a building permit application filed with the city.

VyStar Credit Union wants to demolish two single-story buildings and a former gas station at 2890 University Blvd W. for construction of a branch office.
Dana B. Kenyon Co. is the contractor for the demolition at a cost of $96,977.
In January, VyStar bought the 2-acre site, near St. Augustine Road, for $1.7 million from an affiliate of Ash Properties.
CineBistro’s high-end concept planned for the Exchange at Jacksonville

CineBistro, which developer Jeff Fuqua said he is bringing to Jacksonville, is a full menu and bar movie theater.
It calls itself a “world-class ‘dinner-and-a-movie’ concept.”
Fuqua, principal of Atlanta-based Fuqua Development, said last week CineBistro will join his proposed Exchange at Jacksonville project at southeast Butler Boulevard and Interstate 295.

Over the next 120 days, JEA will complete an agreement with Ryan Companies US Inc. to lease and build a new corporate headquarters in Downtown Jacksonville.
JEA’s board of directors selected the Minneapolis-based development company Tuesday to build a new campus at 325 W. Adams St., near the Duval County Courthouse and State Attorney’s Office.
